What types of sessions do you offer?
I specialize in family, maternity, newborn, and couples photography. Each session is personalized to capture the special moments that make your story unique.
When do sessions take place?
I schedule sessions during the "golden hour," which is the hour just before sunset, to capture the best natural light. This timing creates those beautiful, soft, and warm tones you see in my photos. Newborn sessions typically take place on weekdays, mid-morning, to take advantage of the softest natural in-home lighting.
Do you offer mini sessions?
Yes, I offer mini sessions only once a year in the Fall. These sessions are held at specific locations on predetermined dates and times. Once they are booked, that's it for the year. The rest of the year, I focus on full sessions to provide a more personalized experience.
Where will the session take place?
Newborn sessions typically take place in my client's homes. For all other sessions, I love shooting in natural, outdoor settings to capture the beauty and authenticity of each moment. I have a list of favorite locations, but I’m also open to your suggestions!
How long does a session last?
Sessions typically last 1 hour, depending on the type of shoot and the needs of your family. Newborn sessions take longer, 2-3 hours on average to allow for feeding and soothing breaks.
Do you travel?
Yes, I’m happy to travel! For locations beyond 10 miles from my location in The Heights, a travel fee of $0.75 per mile applies.
How do I book a session?
Booking a session is easy! You can contact me through the contact form on my website. We’ll discuss your vision and schedule a date that works for you.
Can I add extended family to my session?
Absolutely! There is an additional fee for each extra grouping (e.g., grandparents count as one grouping). This is available for up to 8 people.
Can we include pets in our session?
Absolutely! Pets are part of the family too. Just let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
How do you handle newborn sessions?
Newborn sessions are held in the comfort of your home, where we can create a relaxed and safe environment for your baby. I bring all necessary props and equipment, and we work around your baby’s schedule to ensure they are comfortable and happy.
What detailed shots are included?
For newborns, I love capturing those tiny details like hands, feet, lips, and lashes. Maternity sessions highlight beautiful close-up belly shots. For couples, I focus on those intimate close-ups of hands and rings. Family sessions are all about those storytelling moments. I carefully select the best of these shots and include them in your final edited gallery.
What should we wear for the session?
Neutral, earthy tones, coordinated outfits work best. I will provide you with a styling guide and help pull together the perfect looks for your session. Additionally, you will have access to my carefully curated client closet, which includes beautiful dresses for mama and some lovely outfits for little ones. I’m happy to provide more specific recommendations based on your session type.
When will we receive our photos?
You'll receive your proof gallery within a week of your session. Once you've made your selections, the edited, high-resolution images will be ready within 3 to 4 weeks (sooner if it isn't busy season). I'll provide them in a beautiful online gallery for easy downloading and sharing. *Please note, during the busy fall season, it might take a bit longer.
What if we need to reschedule or cancel?
I understand that life happens! If you need to reschedule, please let me know as soon as possible, and we’ll find another date that works for you. For cancellations, please refer to my cancellation policy provided during booking.
Do you provide video?
Yes! While I’m not a videographer, I love capturing a few behind-the-scenes moments during your session when possible. These usually turn into a short, 15-second 4K video—just a little extra keepsake for you to enjoy!
